few words about us

GET TO KNOW MORE ABOUT US

Love-N-Change was created in 2014 after 17 years of world assistance in partnership with Bridge Ministry. It came to existence by a team of people who share the belief that love makes lasting changes. Together we are working 365 days a year to improve the lives of many around the world. For the last few years we have been devoted to several projects that we take close to heart. In partnership with Bridge Ministry, we have been working hard to rescue the culture and awareness of Kaingang Native Brazilian; reducing hunger and improving health and education in two favelas in Rio de Janeiro, Mozambique and Kenya. Now Love-N-Change is ready to expand its territory and its projects sizes. Please see our timeline for more information.

Our timeline
This is our history

  • We Started 1998

Long before Love-N-Change was created, Ribamar Monteiro started an audacious project to rescue the culture and dignity of native Brazilians in the South of Brazil. The Kaingang group was destroyed by alcohol, hunger and lack of identity. Ribamar and João Santana (In Memoriam) decided to rescue this tribe through sustainable projects.
  • 2000

The tribe Barao de Antonina received 4 fish tanks, one community center for the artisans to work and a bakery where they baked fresh bread daily.
  • 2005

The projects started at Barão de Antonina were expanded by eucalyptus crops and honey extraction. In that same year, we gained access to Mococa and Manuel Ribas tribes where we started to rescue their values, dignity and hope for the future via similar projects previous implemented in another tribe.
  • 2016

Love-N-Change and IBBA continue to dedicate financial and human resources to improve indigenous life conditions through water projects, meeting halls, new homes, food, and clothing. Please see our current projects list.
